About the lab

Who is the Magic Man?

Magic Man Labs is an independent game studio in Minnesota, named in honor of Magic Man, a cat, who loved nothing more than curling up to watch us play video games. Every game we make is one we hope Magic Man would have stayed up to watch.

We make games about figuring things out. In Deduxion and The Last Call at the Gilded Flagon you hunt for the slip in someone's story and name the culprit. Canopy is a logic puzzle with exactly one answer, and Progenitor and Quorum take their rules from real biology, from the immune system to the way a swarm decides together.

Whatever the genre, we want rules you can learn in a minute, puzzles that play fair, and a little magic in the moment it all clicks.
